In part 1, I described the difficulties of doing nude art photography during arguably the worst phase of the pandemic: March 2020 into the beginning of 2021.

I made do by increasing my nude selfies, doing remote shoots, and setting up generously spaced outdoor shoots.

My ultimate “pandemic” themed photo shoot has to be the one I did with a couple of burlesque performers. One of them (Parker Day) I had photographed semi-nude several years previously (in 2009) and this was only our second time shooting.

Well now—11 years later—Parker had this idea for a pandemic-themed photo shoot which she was calling “Blooming During a Pandemic”. The idea was to do a photo shoot—both costumed and nude—at a venue with beautiful flower gardens and to generously incorporate flowers into clothing, makeup, and accessories. She put up a Kickstarter to help raise funding for it (to pay for the venue, costumes, the photography by me, and to make the rewards for higher level funders).

It was interesting for me to participate in the nude portion of the photo shoot without planning out the shots myself ahead of time (which I always do with my own art nude shoots, at least to some degree).

Parker and I did a short nude shoot before the other model arrived. We did it indoors, but it was a large room, and both Parker and I had been very good about isolating during the pandemic.

Once the other model (Harlow) arrived, we did photos where they wore their fabulously designed outfits. First, here’s Harlow:

The remainder of the photos were creative nude photos I took of Parker. There was still lots of color in the shots via hair color and colorful accessories, mostly consistent with the “blooming” theme..!
